What angels 😇 the Park Run volunteers are for standing over an hour in the freezing cold to encourage & cheer us on. My PB 40:22 today gets me more than halfway through the Goodbye Gravity Challenge of running 40.8K by Dec 29

21.3 ✅...hopefully if I can fit in 5 or 6 more runs I will do it! Going to a wedding in Brussels next week but will take the running shoes & try to sneak off on a quick run 🏃‍♀️

Congratulations Annieapple on that 40.22 PB at this mornings Parkrun, I did say to you last week that it wouldn't be long on you running a sub 40 minute 5K at parkrun, with that PB today, perhaps your next 5K you will manage a sub 40 minute 5K at parkrun.

Congratulations on your PB. Very well done. I totally agree, volunteers are legends. I ran a parkrun this morning. Thankfully it was dry whilst I was running. At the finish line I waited a couple of minutes for Mrs damienair to cross the line. Just then it started snowing. My goodness it was cold. But our nice breakfast out warmed us up again.

I’ll be volunteering in the new year.

It’s cold volunteering this time of year. I want to do scanning or timer next time. I love being at the finish line.
