Final diagnosis

Some positive news at last. I’ve finally been given a diagnosis.

I’ve got acute Tendinopathy. So I’ve been given some electronic radio wave treatment, some massages and I have some exercises to do, and I have to go back next week. 🙏

It makes such a difference to have those exercises to do. You feel like you are helping yourself recover.

Gently does it. xxx

Get control over the inflammation. That’s what causes the pain. Anti-inflam medication takes a while to kick in so hang in there The pain will ease off but it takes time so take care We all need to allow our bodies to heal and it’s not always as quick as we’d like

Good luck

You can follow an anti-inflammatory diet too 🙂

I’ve finally got my proper diagnosis .

I have acute tendinosis. In my ankles and meniscus tears in my knees

I’ve had one lot of exercises to do for ankles, and some manipulation which morning ones didn’t seem so painful but afternoon I could hardly move.

Knee does seem to feel a bit better. Sports massage and acupuncture sorting that out.

I decided to try and walk with my walking group last night with out painkillers. Not to bad last night but this morning I’m paying for it. I’m seeing chiropractor later on today. Thank you for caring.

How about you now, how are you feeling after your last run?

That is good news about your knee, and fingers crossed for you with the physio work. I had a little pain after the manipulations too, but my ankle is so much better now.

Unfortunately I managed to hurt the same foot underneath last week, on my plantar facia...not by the 5 minute runs but by overstretching it and rolling it on a tennis ball to try and help with the aches.

This is very painful so I'm back resting again...pah!

Nice to hear you got out with your group for a walk. Progress.Keep your chin up. xx

Hi just wondering how your foot is now. Hopefully it’s better for you

Hi Scobs, 🖐 thank you for asking, it will be 2 weeks tomorrow since I hurt my plantar fascia under my foot. Its still uncomfortable all the time, and I am walking with a limp. It keeps me awake at night too. As it's so expensive to keep going to private physio I think I will go to the doctor in a few weeks if it's still sore and maybe get referred to Nhs physio to get better. Just icing and resting at the moment.

How about you, have you noticed any improvement from doing the exercises and having the acupuncture?

There really is no quick fix for these injuries is there. I have resigned myself to waiting til the New year to get back to running now!

Gently does it as you recover 😚xxx

Yes to be honest it is really expensive to keep going private. I have to see two different people a week both with different fees. 🙁 about your foot. It’s absolutely gutting. What about insoles in your shoes for plantar fascia?

I have noticed a slight difference in ankles, but not a lot really. The chiropractor told me there’s a lot of debris in my ankle and it’s going to take a while. Walking in house in day time I’m ok but by 6 o’clock I can hardly walk. I’m practically hobbling from one place to another and totally avoiding the stairs. I’m getting more and more depressed, I really wanted to start couch to 5k in April but I just don’t think it will happen, even though others do. Anyway I really hope your foot gets better soon. I didn’t have much luck with nhs physio but you might for your condition . Message me and let me know what you decide
