After all the the advice to run slowly I thought I’d take advantage of the week 2 short run to finally push myself a bit. I’m so pleased with myself, I was literally the kid who feigned illness every week to get out of cross country. Next goal is to aim for under 5 mins / km average.
Hope you’re all doing great, have a lovely Friday. 😀

What cracking times well done. Do you hear yourself already - short run 😉 they are playing mind games with us. My short run this week was 4k. Great way to get us to 10k
I think this is why these plans work, slow build up to distance. Fantastic. Have you signed up to any events or is this all running for the sheer joy of it
I keep planning to, but I haven’t worked out what the right target is yet. I was going to sign up for a 5k run but that seems silly now I run that before breakfast 3 times a week. So then maybe 10k, but I’ll be doing that every weekend just 2 months from now. I’m considering a 10 mile run in April but my wife keeps dropping hints I should be planning a holiday then instead.
What about you? Other than a park run I’ve not done any organised runs yet so don’t know what to expect.
I've not done a park run. Dont seem to get organised for 5k on a Saturday morning. Ive a 10k road race on the north coast of Scotland in May - we go up and camp. It's a week of running events - cape wrath challenges. Hubby runs the ½marathon and 2 lochs races. Think you should definitely book holiday before running event, just make it somewhere with lovely routes to explore. I did week 7 c25k in menorca, lovely new activity to add to an already active holiday there.
