So I did the long one first for Week 4. Only really because the next day (Wednesday) I have something starting at 8pm, so I'll only have time to do the short one before that.
To boldly run further than Iain has ever run before!
Well, it was great. I kept to a steady 8 min/km pace to my trusty 160 bpm Spotify playlist.
Went round two segments of the Abingdon ring road, down to the police station, then back into my historical town, crossed the famous Market Square, into which buns are thrown on royal occasions from the top of the County Hall Museum by the town councillors. (Really true! The tradition goes back 400 years!), and then back up the main road.
I kept to a chat pace - occasionally sang a line or two (hope no-one was listening!)
Favourite musical moment? The Beatles :
"My heart went boom
As I crossed that room
And I held her hand in myeeeeeeeeen!" πΈπ΅
Definitely one to sing with a huge smile. REALLY hope no-one was listening. Well .. actually I don't really care!
Six months ago I'd have had a hard time believing you if you said I'd be able to run 8km without stopping.
