Hi Runners... here we are again... and I am still running behind! Where does the time go?
I hope all your running is going well, and looking at folks' posts, there are some real goals being met!
I am still, somehow, running three times a week and still trying to get some lovely longer runs in...I have plenty of short and sweet, but I really must try harder for the longer ones!
I am heading towards my fourth runniversary and can hardly believe how far I have come!
The year is turning, and Mother Nature, here certainly, is turning the world from green to gold...running here, is a feast for the eyes
I hope your runs are as satisfying, wherever you are
So;
What is the Quest?
The aim of the Quest is to help you find a focus or goal that you would like to achieve by the end of the Quest period.
The Quest takes one calendar month. You can join at any point during that time.
We ask that you are a C25K Graduate before joining the Quest. The reason for this is that pre-graduation your week is very much structured according to the C25K programme, and we wouldn't want the Quest to interfere with that.
Most popular goals are:
★ To run three times a week
★ To slowly increase distance
★ To train for a specific race
★ To add Stretch and Strength exercises to your weekly routine
The Quest is a personal challenge, so it's completely up to you!
Happy running and whenever and wherever, your running trail takes you, may it be in a blaze of glory

It was such a beautiful evening and I would have loved to go for a run. I had a physio appointment instead. She really kneaded my quads and my knee feels so much better. I’m going to run 3.5km tomorrow and maybe a park run on Saturday. Then I’ll build back up my distance slowly. I’m very excited by my wall squats. They kill me ! Only 4 years running floss and you’ve done so much. Park runs, a HM, trails, exercises, poetry, training up small runner. I can’t wait to see what the next 4 years bring 😍
I did Speed tonight and had a hard time keeping my hat on. I had to take it off and run with it part of the time due to the wind gusts tonight. However, I did finish and I've started my weight bearing exercises--two done this week. I commit to continuing both running and weight bearing exercises.
I am, Oldfloss ....continuing running for 3 times a week but goodness, taking in the scenery is as important as taking in the mileage...I a, absolutely loving the colour changes of autumn...count me in as carrying,on this quest x
Terrific! Well done you... I think the, three times a week, run is a massive goal, in itself!
You are so right... running in and taking it in is so, important..and you have some beautiful locations to run in don't you... ? ( We almost don't miss the Dordogne, do we ..ha ha !!)
Well Oldfloss, great running by you and 4 year anniversary and still those legs are turning up step by step.
I’ve certainly increased my mileage, metric marathon on 4th October, 3 x 10k since last Saturday. Booked Conway half for November, got my winter mojo back.
Good luck everybody, keep enjoying your running. Thanks Oldfloss 😀😀👍
That all sounds absolutely great... Conwy sounds perfect fr your park run too..bit far for me from Criccieth...I am heading to the Dolgellau one on November
You are doing wonderfully and this running through the seasons is brilliant!
I am looking back to see when my actual runniversary date is ! x
Hi Oldfloss - last weeks quest was a success, I completed an hours cardio/strength training session, and have managed to get up 3 mornings so far and do my runs...found my mojo again and delighted. Also found a new running route which is always great...good to mix things up a bit.
this weeks plan is to keep it up...and embrace the cooler dark mornings. Waiting for the clocks to go back!
So far so good with my quest, which is following JuJu's Magic 10K Plan. I keep making mistakes, such as I should have run 7K this week but I ran 6.5K instead as I had assumed it only went up 500m per week. I'm a muppet sometimes!
I've had a bit of a cold so I skipped my short run last night, but I'm going to give it a go tonight and do park run on Saturday, albeit super slowly.
Last week was lovely as I was visiting family so I got to do my runs with some relations in some lovely, and very flat, locations. Really enjoyed the change and it proves how great running is, you can do it anywhere so long as you have your trainers with you!
