I was just about to post that he had gone sub 2 hours!!!!!

How the holy heck can he have done it, laser guided, multiple pacers, but still he is only human. (?!)

I will be thinking about it as I trot along tomorrow.

Amazing πŸ…πŸ…πŸ…πŸ…

An amazing time, many people here would be happy getting that time in a half marathon.

Like me AlMorr! πŸ˜‚ I understand he can do a 12 minute 5k too. I’m just still trying to get into a flow to go the distance in that time. 😳❀️

Ha, a 12 minutes 5K, if he ran that at our parkrun on a Saturday morning, he would lap me 3 times,

Wasn’t that the most wonderful thing to watch? Amazing runner and humble man, but oh my goodness aren’t all his pacers just fantastic too, a fellowship of runners ❀️My 35 minute run today took me to just over 4km πŸ˜‚ full of a cold, so off to bed. Have a lovely run tomorrow Fab x

Yes most definitely. That support was essential and they all moved as one unit. I imagine there was quite a feeling of responsibility amongst them and they pulled it off to perfection. Amazing to watch. πŸ₯°πŸ˜ I’ll be thinking of that when I do my little bit tomorrow. 😁❀️

Sorry about your cold lexi6, I am sure by next Saturday once your cold is over, you will be able to run a 5K in 35 minutes, not 4K like today, get better soon. 😊

Thanks AlMorr this is my first cold in years, so will have to learn to take it easy, I have downloaded the Strength and Flex podcasts, until I feel like getting outside again πŸ˜‚ really want a PB next parkrun πŸ‘

I watched this too - moved to tears by this phenomenal performance and truly remarkable man! How lovely that his wife was there on the finish line with his children (first time for them at one of his runs). And yes, a huge team of the worlds best supporting and celebrating! Wonderful!πŸ’ͺπŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

β€œThis shows no-one is limited," said Kipchoge. "Now I've done it, I am expecting more people to do it after me."

I know I won’t be one of them, but I’m glad I was able to see it being done. Humble to the end. πŸ₯°β€οΈ

They were Sandie! πŸ€— You could feel the will of the crowd, even before it started. I’m sure he could do. Amazing! ❀️

I watched the beginning and finish of this run (doggies needed a walk in the middle) and am not ashamed to say I felt a little choked as he run the last 500mtrs or so. Even though he was clearly going to do it, when he waved his pacemakers away I was shouting at the screen urging him to run faster!! Huge respect to the man, makes my 3.5mph speed seem a little on the insignificant side, but really I was in awe of this amazing feat.

Glad to have witnessed a bit of history in the making.

Hey Jan!! πŸ‘‹πŸ½ I was on my feet shouting β€œcome on”! at the TV too. I was so excited for him. He knew he was going to do it at that point and it was so amazing to see it. 🀩

So he runs three times faster than me and five times my longest length and then glides over the finishing line smiling and not a drop of sweat - massive RESPECT.
