100th (not) parkrun/real parkrun

I’ve just realised that yesterday was my 64th (not) parkrun, as well as being my contribution to the world record attempt. Having done 36 real parkruns before covid hit, that means I have clocked up 100. Wish I could get a t-shirt 😭😭

At least we are all in the same boat Sandie. I have a running Buddy who had to wait 71 weeks to do his 100th run. He is now wearing his black shirt with pride.

That 50 red shirt is not far away, or once they get systems going you could always apply for the 25 purple shirt. They will contact you in due course to see if you want to claim it.

Assuming I probably won’t do parkrun the day before GSR or the following week (going away with sister) I reckon my 50th will be New Year’s Day if it goes ahead near us!

Yes they are not going to do the New Years Day double anymore as it put too much pressure on the later events.

We will volunteer the day before GSR, but some people do both.

I feel similarly Sandie, although it was pretty meaningless. I missed out on my 50 (not) PRs because frankly I had some dismal runs in the slop on the common during the winter and I couldn’t be bothered to post my times!

Maybe you’ll get to your your 50th PR by Christmas (didn’t check the maths there, but it can’t be far off?) 😀🏃‍♀️

My first one back will be 18th September, then if I don’t do the day before GSR and the following week, but do Xmas Day (if it’s on near us), my 50th would be on New Year’s Day!

I’m very good thank you, my running amounts to regular responses in my ambassador role😂. Still doing a couple of 5ks a week but mega amounts of cycling, at least one over 50k a week with a couple of 20+K Longest was a hilly 73k onFriday 🥵

Well your hundred should be celebrated for a start, so 👏👏👏👏💪🥇🏆🎉🥂🍸🍹🥃 to you!!If it were my decision I would count “not” runs; You and many others (not me) have put in the K’s and I wouldn’t want to give COVID-19 a victory over runners. No doubt there are arguments the other way; I am just not clever enough to work out what they might be, or maybe I am just biased 🙂.
