Thank you so much for letting me celebrate with you Dexy, I had an amazing time. π The (unnecessarily early) 5:15am alarm was well worth it. π
I drove through mist, fog, saw a red sky so assumed rain - but no, Southsea was perfect. Beautiful sunshine and a refreshing breeze on the 2nd 2.5k. How lovely that everyoneβs pirate costume speed was my normal speed! π π
I loved meeting Mr and Mrs Coddfish and JonathanP - great to put faces to names! Of course Iβve already met Dexy5 and UpTheStanley several times already, but itβs always lovely to see you both!
My shoulder parrot ended up being a handheld one and it was amusing to note that Jonathan (or was it Mr Coddfish π€) and I had been shopping for the same sword, eyepatch and earring set on eBay! π
What a great day! Iβm at home now, and I plan to do nothing. π

Great pics cheeky and so much fun running with you. Iβm not sure what I was doing in the top right picture - maybe working out how to deal with that wayward parrot.
Not long till the GSR now. Only 3 parkruns and a bit.
Those are all lovely photos, you deserve a medal for getting up at 5.15am and travelling that distance from Bristol to Southsea to run with Dexy on her 50th parkrun, well done. π π
Iβm in Shropshire this weekend with the grandkids, not far from Oldfloss I was very tempted by Telford parkrun, but, as we are in the campervan, OH wasnβt keen on packing everything away to get me there π’π’
No sword for me Cheeky! Great to meet you and put a face to a username.π Your dedication to parkrun tourism is amazing - I may hold you to another visit to the south coast for my 50thπ
Nah he loved it - according to Mr Garmin I was running at 4β27β/k to catch the little sod, I was glad he wasnβt able to keep going for another 100m π
I agree Rainbow. I dislike social media as a rule and hardly use it any more. This forum is truly special (thanks to the wonderful admins), and people are genuinely friendly and supportive. Parkrun meetups are the icing on the cake! π
We had such a great time before, during and after the run Fab! We deserved our delicious breakfast thatβs for sure! π π¦π΄ββ οΈπββοΈπππ
Love the pics. A huge congratulations Dexy5 on your 50th parkrun. Iβm delighted for you. Great idea marking the occasion in pirate π΄ββ οΈ outfits although Iβm sure loads of people were wondering if you were doing the pirate challenge. Glad you all had a lovely time.
Thanks Run46, I find early starts fairly easy - in fact they add to the excitement as far as Iβm concerned! It was well worth it yesterday too. ππ
Well done Dexy on your 50th parkrun thatβs a fantastic achievement Iβve only got 41 to go before I can get my 50 parkrun T-shirt πππππππ
Lovely pictures cheeky! Wish we could have been there, looks a great morning. Congratulations Dexy, a wonderful achievement x π΄ββ οΈ π΄ββ οΈ π¦
Aww we missed you guys TC! Hope to see you soon! Are you planning on doing Lyme Park at some point? I know itβs off the scale ridiculous for me to go, but ......... π
Congrats on your 50th Parkrun! ππ Sounds like you had lots of fun channelling you inner pirate and meeting up with other VRBs. Wishing you many many more... π x
