Getting there

First time writing in this forum. I graduated C25K in March and have spent the past few months running 5K 2 -3 times each week. I wanted the runs to get easier before I increased my distance, nervous I wasn’t ready as it didn’t get easier!! However, just realised it is not going to get easier, I just need to do it. So, put on my big girls pants and started increasing my distance over the past few weeks and did 8K today. Definitely not easy, but under an hour and I could have done more!! The 10K is in sight and definitely achievable. Is running ever going to be easy for me, probably not but hey, maybe I like it that way!!! Who knew 🤪

I was exactly like that - hanging around waiting until I was 'good enough' to plan running 10k 😂.

In the end you just have to do it - as long as you're enjoying it that's great and who really enjoys anything that's too easy 😊.

Good luck on your journey to 10k.

It's too easy to think you have to be somehow good enough, but the only way you get good enough to do it, is to do it! I expect, now you can run 8k, that it probably does feel easier now when you run 5k! Anyway, welcome to the bridge 😊

Some days are easier than others, but the operative word seems to be ‘easier’ which does not equal easy! We forget once the run is over though. Well done on 8km and good luck for your 10km. You’re nearly there already 👍
