Hello
Now it’s not often I credit my husband with words of wisdom.
Yesterday we couldn’t make Parkrun (the dog needed to be at the groomers for 9am (sorry for the mundane bit of info)) next to groomers is a country park so we decided to do our usual 5k around there, I plotted a route but on start I mentioned to my husband that he’d normally run off in front of me and that’s when he said it.
“It’s just another 5k in the legs” for that day he wasn’t bothered about times was happy to just get it done even if it meant plodding at my pace, he needed the exercise and didn’t want to simply miss the run even tho for a day our circumstances would of made it easy not to bother for this time. He wanted to add to his running leg experience.
That’s when it hit me some days it’s all you can do the main achievement is just getting it done, not all run have to be an improvement to pace or distance sometimes you “just need to put another 5k in your legs” and keep up with the consistency......
Happy running to everyone heading out today 🏃🏻♀️ 💙
