Does anyone have any recommendation for best insole for overpronation? I have running shoes for this but not giving me enough support and calf’s are taking a bashing!

Maybe best see a podiatrist /specialist get proper gait analysis and custom insoles

Be careful about wearing them in gradually start short periods of time

Agree with Runningfit, what's good for one goose may cripple a gander who takes their advice over the net - take your shoes to a specialist running shop and give them the problem.

I got these shoes from a specialist shop about two months ago but honestly, I don't think they are giving me enough support. Heading back today to try and get some insoles which will offer a bit more support!

The Sweat Shop do them. I had a gait analysis and they put these insoles on a heated pad and made them right there and then. But I didn't need them and I didn't like the feel so said no. Plus they were £45!

Agree with seeing a podiatrist. Mine diagnosed overpronation as causing my shin splints. Stability shoes help a little but you are still overpronating inside the shoe. The shoe just has a wider heal which stops you from turning your ankle. Insoles stop you from overpronating in the shoe, helping with all the associated injuries. My podiatrist told me to try shop bought insoles 1st, and if they dont work he would make custom ones. Luckily for me the shop bought ones have been good so far. But go and see a professional 1st not a shop. saves a lot of time and potentially your future running.

Yes find a trained mefical podiatrist

Not a shop assistant using a machine in this case

Thanks everyone! I got some Asics and it’s changed the game - calf’s not hurting at all!
