Hiya, I know how you feel but from a male perspective. I hadn't worn shorts in public since August Bank Holiday 1999. Anyway i invested in a pair of TCA Tech Lightweight shorts and haven't stopped wearing them since. They are comfortable and not to much above the knee. I think they do one for Ladies as well.

Been wearing Addidas climalite (or climcool) shorts for some years, just above the knee, with a liner, still in good condition, recommended..

Am wearing them in my photo I put on. A few days ago..

Well I just wear M&S active wear ones. They’re basically short leggings (in fact I have them in long, capri and short lengths). Really comfy, have a handy little zip pocket and they don’t look hideous! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

I run in these Flatik Womens Active Running Yoga Short Workout Shorts with Pocket S amazon.co.uk/dp/B07DBXVPBS/...

Great deep side pockets that easily hold my iPhone XS on one side and a squashy water bottle on the other side!

I’ve just bought a pair of Decathlon trail running baggy shorts. Lovely to run in, I’m going to buy another pair.

They are a light weight fabric with an inner panty. A drawstring cord. Two zipped pockets, one front, one back, quite roomy. Four open pockets on the hips, two front and two back. Pockets Suitable for a 250ml soft flask, tissues, snacks, phone, keys etc. I don’t need to use a running belt when I wear these shorts.

They are a nice length and they aren’t baggy, just not tight.

I’ve been looking at these after seeing a lady wearing them on a recent trail race They are many-pocketed which I love for longer runs on the trail Might just get me a pair. They’re not expensive 😃

I’ve got another pair on order. I like the look of the trail skorts as well. I’ve never worn a skort. Decathlon have two types, both have Lycra shorts underneath but one skort the shorts are longer.

Hello Mrsgilly, I’ve got the 2-in-1 shorts and they are really cool this time of year and the Lycra shorts are quite thin. Mine are the short ones because if I’m going to be out in the sun I might as well get brown legs at the same time.

Mine are ASICS with a zip pocket at the back, but I think most brands do them

I have Nike 2-in-1 Eclipse shorts and they’re my FAVOURITE thing to run in on a hot day - they’re dri-fit (so no, aherm, sweaty bits...) and they have a neat pocket on the side of each ‘under’ leg bit... as well as a little key pocket on the waistband - so phone, small water bottle etc can all be taken care of. I think they come in 3” and 5” lengths - I have the shorter ones, but tbh, I don’t feel too immodest in them - and thought they were the long ones until I measured them to buy a second pair! Prices seem to vary wildly, but I bought mine new from eBay. X

I fancy the Ron Hill marathon ones. Six pockets! 😃👍. They are two layered jobs - contrasting colours

Decathlon have some trails ones I like the look of too I’ve seen someone wearing them.
