Edinburgh Parkruns

Have been running since March, graduating couch to 5k in June and now working towards running 10k- all of which have been on my own (which I'm more than happy with and enjoy the time to myself). Have my first races lined up later in the year and thinking parkrun would be a good way to get used to running with other folk. Have heard nothing but positive things about it and seems a great idea but still a bit apprehensive and wondering if anyone's been in the same boat and more specifically what folks thoughts are of the runs at Cramond and Portobello and which would better suit a newbie.

Definitely recommend Parkrun as an experience. Running with others is so different that it will help make you a better runner.

We’ve all been in the same boat Natman80. I ran my first parkrun post graduation and am now totally addicted, running number 45 today. It’s great running with others, so register with parkrun and join us.
