Wow that was a seriously hot parkrun. Luckily the Telford course has lots of shade but I still nearly melted ๐.
Pleased I managed to run whole course again despite the gremlins trying to convince me it was ok to walk in this heat. Glad I carried water ๐ฆ
Also glad I did my long run on Monday in the rain. Not looking forward to 7k next week if this heat continues ๐คช๐ณ๐ฅต.
I did enjoy my short run on Wednesday though my legs felt so heavy after the long hill run on Monday.
Been walking, rowing and doing JuJuโs squats and planks too, in between run days. I donโt recognise this new me at all. Though this month the extra incentive has been to get a perfect month on apple watchโs 3 rings. Only todayโs stand ring and tomorrow to go and Iโll have done it......yaaaayyyyyy!

Well done Dottie..rowing, squats and planks.. oh my! Youโre a machine! Youโll really start seeing an improvement in your running with that extra core strength. ๐ช
Sounds great in writing but the reality is a very different picture; very basic level of all ha ha ๐ but I do feel itโs making a difference ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ
Great running... of course itโs ok to walk in the heat, but itโs even better not to. Weather is apparently going to cool by 10C tomorrow so you should be in luck for your next long run.
Oooh I forgot to mention that was my 50th Parkrun. Did it in 35:47; not bad in that heat if I do say so. And carrying on the celebrations I take my two granddaughters (4&5) to junior parkrunโs on a Sunday. Only 2k but they both got their 11 runs / equivalent of half marathon wrist bands and PBs today. They were over the moon. Hopefully passing on the joy of running to the next generation. ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ
Just came across your post, so a bit late but Just in case itโs of interest, Iโve just dropped a rowing interval workout review in the Strength and Flex Forum. healthunlocked.com/strength...
