Support , experience and help is what I’ve had from all of you in the last year. Thanks a lot!
OldFloss is an angel of inspiration, by the way...
But not sure where to go from here; I graduated the 5k and a 5k run is a fairly regular thing now. Done a few 10s and even a 12k. A friend who is a bit older (65!) and HM experienced reckons I should go for it in September (there’s a HM near Nuremberg then) Am I crazy or what? 9 months ago I couldn’t run for a minute.
Would any of you recommend any apps for training at all? I’m not on Twitface but am an Appi bloke without being an InstaGrampa,
Or just chug along?
Any suggestions from you wonderful lot would be gratefully received!

Don't do anything your friend wants you to do, do it for you only. It seems a good next step but it's not the only step. You could focus on speed if that's your thing, enter races, collect bling, join a runnng club..... If you are going to do the HM then you could go for a 10 mile target first and enter a race just because you can 🙂
I was thinking about distances as I chugged along this morning. 10k to HM seems like a big jump to me. I’m temporarily running (well, jogging) in miles at the moment to fit is with visiting family from abroad, and I’ve realised that by swapping about, I can get a progression of targets. 5K, 5 miles, 10 k, 10 miles, HM. ... Didn’t think any further! 😱
There seem to be events at these distances reasonably near me. Don’t think I actually want events, in fact, but might make a plan.
