Morning guys
Just sitting here with 5 mins to spare and I thought I’d go through my first year since starting C25k. My c25k run graduation was at Hastings parkrun and manage to sneak inside 30mins and after a lot of consolidation runs had a go at a couple 10k races boy that was a step up. Then tried a 10mile race which was tough but strangely enjoyable along with mutleyshuffle in the worst conditions thinkable. Then pianoteacher mentioned the Hastings half and after some maybe maybe not thoughts I did it if, I thought the other runs were tough this was another level red hot and six miles uphill but made it round. The next brainwave was a triathlon even though I hadn’t been on a bike for 15 years and swim like a brick, so as with everything I did some training and have now completed two sprint triathlon’s and didn’t even come last. So now I’m back to My roots doing parkrun 5k’s and although my time have gradually improved over the year I can’t quite get near my target of sub 25mins with my best attempt being 25:33. All the thins I’ve achieved in my 54th year on this planet wouldn’t have been possible without the support of all you guys on these pages you know who you are and my long suffering family who have supported my mid life “thing”. Thank you all. 😊👍. PS. I must say the races have been good but it’s the lovely beautiful slow long just for the hell of it runs I’ve loved most. Happy running all. 😊
