Roller!

I wish I'd got one ages ago :D

I kept getting little niggles here and there, each run would be something different and every 10k I was running was slower than the last.

I was doing yoga for strength and stretches but being hyper mobile I was starting to feel tendon pain with the stretches rather than lengthening the muscles.

When I kept googling my niggles or hurts I kept reading about foam rollers and so I got myself a cheep set on amazon.

Just wow! I wish I'd got them last summer :D

Within a few days of using them, pains I'd had for months were rolling away, the free knobbly ball that came with the set got rid on a knot in my shoulder that was causing pain and tightness on long runs.

My high hamstring pain is almost gone and I can stretch again into poses that have eluded me for over a year now.

The tendon tightness and pain round my ankle and foot is gone too :)

Runs are once more enjoyable and pain free and my speeds nearly back to were it was a few months ago. £13 well spent! :)

Thanks for your post. I suffer from muscle tightness despite stretches and yoga. Like you I’ve read about them but done nothing about it so far. Your post has given me the push I needed...... Next stop Amazon!

I agree. Like you, I’ve been able to get rid of aches and niggles with using a roller. I have three different ones. Masochistic magic I call it 😩🙂
