Magic 10... I am doing this!! 5.6k today

I'm excited to have finished the first week! It's a big deal for me. Started Couch to 5k in February, am losing weight steadily but still obese.. not young.. and I'm sleep deprived (courtesy of my toddler!).. but I'm so thrilled to be doing this! I did the 5.5k today, nice overcast weather, and really forced myself to think positive thoughts that I CAN and WILL make it. Loved it! Took it slowly, 49 minutes to run 5.6k, but I'm so thrilled to be on this journey, and enjoying it. Here's to running!! Hope everyone else is having a good week too. :-)

Isn't it a brilliant feeling, knowing you can do what you never thought was possible?

Onwards and upwards!

It really is! I think it’s the surprise of it that keeps me going a lot of the time!

Well done. It doesn't matter how long it takes you, a 5.5k run is a 5.5k run.

I was a little hesitant when I graduated and followed the time version of the plan. When I got to 60 mins I was doing 8k, so I went back to W4 and started doing the distances instead of the times on W6 now...

Good luck...

Thanks. That sounds like a good approach. My plan is just to take it as it comes and repeat a week or two if it’s not feeling comfortable. At least at the slower pace I seem to be able to last quite a long time reasonably comfortably. But at this rate I’ll be reaching 60 minutes in 2 weeks 😂. Ho hum. It’s all got to be good!
