hey all...hope everyone is well, despite this very wet weather we have had.

Not posted for a while, but i have been lurking, and running is continuing and going well. Well it was

Went out this morning for a pre-work run. Took a slightly different root to avoid the mud which involved going down a steepish hill. I think i may have taken that to quickly because two minutes back on level ground i could feel the twitch of a cramp coming on. I stopped and did some stretches and then walked a bit until i was back into a slow run and gradually built it up. I felt it come again but then it passed, i was only 3k in and had 2k left to get home, whilst i would have abandoned the run i was too far from home and time was against me to walk it but the run was without incident. But now is a different story, having stretched, had a roll out I may have made things worse because i can't walk without a limp :-(

The calf hurts when i raise my ankle, so the stretches are fine with no pain, but walking and raising my heel are tight and a little sore 😣

I am hoping this is the aftermath of the cramp (had something similar last year) and hope that a mild Pilates session later today will help ease some of it.

Really hope i am not about to move onto the IC couch... then to top that rubbish start to the morning - my phone froze, i could not do anything as screen would not respond - so my run includes my commute to work :-) which was in a car so my pace is like 2 minutes per km.... had to laugh at that, and is something that will never get beaten 🤣🤣 Thank goodness for you tube - giving the simplest of reset options (who knew?) and phone is now working as normal

Hope to report that i have not been moved to IC

Happy running everyone - stay safe

Oh bad luck!! Hope it clears up soon. Epsom salts bath when you get home might help. Usually helps me 🤞

You may have a slight calf strain. Rest up well and don't try running until you feel it has fully settled and then go carefullly on your next run to give yourself a chance to assess it. Fingers crossed you will soon be back out there.🙂
