JuneQuestW2R2 did not go well. Taken me nearly a week to admit it.
If you don’t know - C25Kplus Speed podcast lasts just 26 minutes. Stepping stones 40 and Stamina is 45 minutes. 5 mins off each end just leaves a16 minute run which even to a plodder like me, left me a long way from home in R1.If only that were the worst bit.
I am playing with the free versions of apps that will let me plan a route, track as I run it, and show how fast, or slowly, I ran it. Perhaps even show “splits”, which I find is how long it took me to run each kilometre.
Before run 2, I had been trying out Runmeter on my iPad. Decided to try it and later in the day, downloaded it onto the phone I carry on my runs. Laura said get ready to run and I pressed GO on runmeter.
Pressed STOP at the end and went home.
I was surprised to find that my short run took over an hour and covered 6.41 km. I have never run that far!
Turns out that, on my iPad, I started a run. This continued in the ether and carried on when I opened my phone version. So I still don’t know how fast I ran the 2 km that I thought I did in the time, and my knee hurts!
