Cop out!

I graduated about 12 months ago. Continued to run about twice a week, sometimes only once. But still stay at 4-6k, not progressed further.

Decided that’ll do for me. Still really proud at starting to run at 53 (now 54), but have decided that what I am doing is good enough.

Does that make me complacent? 😊

I'd say it's fabulous 👌😊

You've been running consistently for over a year!!

That's a great achievement... So be proud. I bet before u started C25K if someone said u would still be running u wouldn't believe em? 🤔 If some2had with me I wouldn't anyway.

U r doing what u want u want and thats good 👍 happy running

5K is a perfect distance. 4-6K is spot on. Keep running.

Not at all. It's great. I only got to 10k this month after a year of graduating. Love my 5k runs. Happy 5k,s 😀😀

Part of me wants to do more. But as a solo runner lacking the persuasion to do more.

There’s no cop out there. Some run for marathons and beyond, some need 10ks and HMs, but we all run to stay fit and healthy, extending our life expectancy. Keep on running... and keep enjoying it, those are the main things. Oh... and stay proud of yourself, because you certainly should be.

Sounds good. I graduated less than a year ago. I'm still running three times a week and loving it. 5k is enough for me right now, so I can relate to what you said.

Sounds great to me! Well done for carrying on. I graduated over a year ago and managed 5 or 6 K two or three times a week for a couple of months. Then for various reasons stopped doing it for a while then found it hard to get going.

I’m back again now but think I am happy at 4/5K. I am out there and doing it regularly which to me is better than trying to get to 10K and giving up.

Keep plodding on!

You have done more exercise than most of your age. You are fitter, stronger than most. Proud is a much better description? Just enjoy your running.

Still running twice a week, fantastic. I'm only now pushing on to 10k, but it's really only to give me the option because there are some lovely longer trails where I live. But mostly I'm happy with 4-6k, like you. It doesn't take too much time out of the day, for one thing! Happy running 😊

I think sometimes we push ourselves to go further and go faster and can lose the joy we felt when we first started running. If you enjoy running 4-6k and are able to get out regularly, good for you! Do what makes you happy and keeps the joy in running.

If it gives you joy, it's right 😁

Definitely not ! Enjoy your running! 😀

Nope. If you're happy then you're doing what's right for you!

I keep getting folk asking when I'm going to enter an event. I have no interest in these but I do feel a bit of pressure at times and wonder if I should... but doing what's right for ourselves is the most important thing.

So long as you're enjoying what you're doing then you're doing great! 👍😁

You say you’re a “solo runner” - running with others is (to me) more enjoyable and more motivating. Parkrun is in your comfort zone for range, might be worth a go .....

Yes, I have done 1 park run. It’s that early get up on a day off I resist against. But I agree, I might try a couple more.
