Iโm so pleased that I managed to get the 8k done today. The last 1k was not too enjoyable but I was determined to do it once I got to 7K.
Itโs weird what goes through my mind. At 4K I thought doing the same distance again was not going to happen ๐ฑ, then after 5k, I enjoyed the run to 6.5.
I went to do this run yesterday but I felt heavy legged and lacked energy so finished at 4.77K , but today my legs were good!
Iโve learnt not to give myself more time off after doing the interval run, suspect that caught me out yesterday.

Good for you! I totally get what you mean about having different feelings at different stages of the run! Good luck.๐โจ
It's funny how our minds play games. I think once you've done you 8k then that'll become the equivalent of 5k in your mind... and so it goes on until before you know it you'll have accidentally done 10k!
Fantastic, Rubinstar! I've found an 8k vrb, I did mine yesterday too, it's such a great feeling ๐ And I went through similar stages, it's really strange isn't it. I missed the short run this week. In fact, my 8k could just as easily have been the short run, only I realised I could do more once I started running. I take longer breaks between runs, I seem to do better with longer recovery time. Onwards and upwards, go us!
I will possibly run again on Friday but aim to do another 8k this weekend.
Unfortunately I had vertigo yesterday and an upset stomach today, so it means an easy week now. I had to tell myself the run didnโt cause the vertigo, so Iโll need to run the distance again at the weekend to make sure!!
I think Iโm better with 3 to 4 days between a run and then the long one.
Oh that's horrible, I'm so sorry you're suffering! Sounds more like a bug than the run caused it though, at least I hope so. I felt like I'd been shaken to bits after the 7k, but don't feel so bad today. Could be because I had a Pilates class last night, and it ironed out all the kinks. Not sure when I'll be ready for the next run though! Look after yourself now.
