I'm quite sceptical about how some manufacturers (over)hype the advantages of their running shoes but a colleague has recently set a new personal record after investing in new shoes. After a few weeks of research and shopping I wore my new Under Armour HOVR Sonic 2s for the first time this morning for a 5k. They didn't feel much different than my (cheaper) Charged Bandit 3s and my first 1k split was nothing out of the ordinary. However, the next 4 were and I set 3 new records. Very chuffed and definitely value for money!
When I set out on C25K in June last year, a 30 minute 5k was an impossible dream. It's amazing what you can do if you put your mind (and body) to it, isn't it?
