Hi guys !! So, we went for a leisurely session earlier this afternoon , new shoes were a joy to jog in !l Reassuringly Supportive ,comfortable and snazzy too !l Today was all about readjusting my running style to alleviate my calf pain/soreness. Aiming to strike mid-foot and have brief heel contact with the ground, whilst maintaining upright yet relaxed stance , was my focus .Found also that shortening my stride helped matters too !! We are taking the next four days off as we are finding ourselves tired and feel as if we are losing momentum .Right Calf will be so thankful ! We,ll be back come friday,in the mean time plenty of calf stretches ,massage and bags of frozen peas on those 'little cows' !!
Rest assured !! (Take it easy - take it eas... - Bridge to 10K

The new shoes sound just the business 🙂 It's all about experimenting isn't it? But take it easy with changing how you run, gently gently does it but the four days off will help.
That’s good News 😀😀. And those new running shoes sound spot on. Enjoy your rest days.
Thank you guys !! Its defo a learning curve for me ,this running game , the ego is a hard task master when unleashed ,but not necessarily the wisest !! Will enjoy the rest because it is in fact just as an essential aspect of the training process as the running , nutrition and supplementary exercises.
Sounds good and sometimes one needs the extra rest. You start to know it when your body is just tired. You'll enjoy your comeback!
