Hi everyone, just thought I’d check in and share where I am and what I’ve been up to since I committed to my 3 challenges in 3 months:
March: I ran 26.2 miles over the month for jogondementia for Alzheimer’s Society
April: I’m running 40 miles for homerun for Shelter. Sitting at just under 30 miles but will do 3 today, 5 on Sunday, and whatever’s left on Tuesday night. This will be my second proper 8k as part of juju’s plan too, so right on track for:
May: 10K Race for Life 😱
I’m already thinking about what next! I’m still very slow. I’m aiming for 90 minutes for the 10K 🐌 so maybe pace, especially on shorter runs (I run at the same pace all the time).

Well done on your charity raising targets, it does help to have an incentive.
You could try joining a Parkrun for your 5k run and you might find your pace improves with running with others. It’s my most fun run of the week.
Also, on the short run I try doing intervals to work on my pace. If you have iPhone, there’s an app called JogRunSprint which I do after a short slow warmup run. 30 secs jog, 20 secs run and 10 secs sprint, repeated. So much fun.
You’ll have no problem doing that race for life in May. 🏃♀️👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks for the tips. I'll definitely check out the app. I like a bit of guidance on my runs. I LOVE Nike Run Club's Guided Runs and they do a 5k and 5 mile one, my faves. I really like the idea of Parkrun too but Saturday is usually a rest day for me. Maybe I need to mix it up a bit more. Especially with the longer evenings and better weather!
