I hope you have all been able to indulge in some lovely runs during the glorious Easter weekend. I've been unlucky over the last month with a cut toe, school French trip & sciatica interrupting my running. However, I truly made up for it over the last few days with 4k & 5k runs, 10k cliff top walk and a 52k bike ride along the camel trail in Cornwall!! (I have also eaten an obscene amount of hot cross buns and had rather a lot of the local beer).

The place we stayed in had direct access onto the trail with the added bonus of the Snail's Pace Café nearby marking the beginning (or end) of the trail. I have to say I'm less of a snail on a bike but maintain a healthy snail pace for my runs! We visited the café this morning after an early run & I felt it fitting to raise my cappuccino to all of the lovely snails (and the speedy lizards) on this forum.

Happy runnings X

That’s one of my dog walks, from the car park onwards. Especially lovely this time of year. So glad you liked it. And the narrow lanes?

Happy running from the founder of the currently one person snail club of my particular snail trail up here in North Yorks. Motto " Proud to be slow". 😊🐌🐌🐌

Hello North Yorks Snail! 🐌 Maybe I could be an honourary Cotswolds member? There must be regional snail networks on this forum and they should all have a little café conveniently located at the end of scenic runs!

Consider yourself admitted! We have a nice cafe on the walkway/woodland where I run..Triple Chocolate Brownies. And a giant carved snail 😊👍🐌

You're very lucky to live in such a beautiful place HeavyFoot! The trail was full of Spring flowers and wild garlic emerging (not appearing much yet in Gloucestershire). We lived for a while in the Tamar Valley so used to the narrow lanes although I'm glad my husband was driving with all the bikes on the back of the car!
