Gave it a go

I wondered if I had been concentrating on improving pace rather than endurance and stamina. On Parkruns I seemed to hit a wall at 25-30 minutes.

So, in an idle moment I wondered if I could run for 60 minutes if I took it slowly enough. So this morning I did. Only covered 7km but concentrated on foot strike, chin up and belly breathing. A worthwhile experiment.

Great experiment, well done to your distance and time running!

Fantastic! And the more you practise doing just that, you’ll find that you’ll be covering more distance in that time. 😀

It’s how I love to run - and I’ve definitely seen an improvement without really trying. It’s such fun! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Nice experimenting. Congratulations on the 60 minutes... and what’s this about “only 7k?” I love how quickly distances become “only” 😂

I like that! Fun to try something completely different. Think I need to remember this, as I rather like a plan and can get a bit locked in. Well done for your discoveries. 👏🏼

Yes, I found that a mixture of short and longer runs helps develop stamina and in the long run (😀) pace.
