That took a while!

For 7 weeks, my long run was 9K with the aim of completing my first 10K in under an hour. Then, two weeks ago, I came down with a heavy cold. A week later I went out thinking that I might do another 9K but my speed was well down and I had to stop at 6K because of knee problems (which I hoped were linked to my cold). So, a week later, I went out again not really knowing how it was going to go. Anyhow, my knee was OK and I was able to complete 10K in 57 minutes.

Incidentally, that’s a picture of the dog, not me. I set up my Garmin account in a hurry and that was the first photo I came across.

My plan now is to build up my speed / stamina around 10K then start edging up my distance.
