I’ve always loved sport but 50 now and wish I started running sooner as I’m absolutely loving it . Been to park runs but I love the thought of running not restricting daily life
Any suggestions to keep the momentum as I’m doing my first 10 k soon

Hi , Bphi !! Well done on getting to the point of running your first 10K !!
Goal setting is a good place to continue the momentum as one is always looking ahead with a bigger picture in view ! After running our first official 10K next month we are continuing with our weekend, longer, slower runs (ie 10K) and we will use our 5K sessions to introduce some speed work ,hill 'climbs' and interval training whilst still covering 5K each run .Looking at running on different routes will keep interest going too as will also running for a particular
charity on a sponsored run !! The occasional 'Pb run', to ascertain if our progressive training sessions are paying off, will motivate no end, as our times slowly come down and our ego,s take a tickle our goals wil be readjusted ,and off we go again . Enjoy your first 10K and have a 'runderful' ,experience !!
