B210k week3run1
Well I’ve spent the last couple of weeks helping my daughter pack up her stuff, ready to move her from her 2bed flat in Bridgwater,to the house she has bought back in Devon. And also emptying the house she bought, from her dad and Aunty, that used to be her grandparents house. 60 years of hoarding !!! And she is a hoarder too!! So she has found it really hard to part with anything.
Added to that the fact that her flat is a 2 storey flat, with 18 stairs to the upstairs , and 32 outside steps. On Sunday it took us 6 hours to loads the Luton van, another 2 hours to drive back due to traffic but luckily it only took 2 hours to unload.
Now we have to try to fit all her stuff into the house along with all the other furniture she has inherited and wont part with AND her brother’s 2 pinball machines ( he’s renting a room off her).
So I hadn’t run since Saturday morning -as I’ve been aching from heaving stuff around- so I was a bit wary this morning and I drank a glass of rehydrating stuff before I set off. The forecast was good but it was still very misty so I wore my new bright lime green running jacket ( SEE!! I DID need another running jacket) just to make sure I could be seen and I’m quite glad I did. It stayed misty all the way , especially along the river, and several times I was nearly on top of other runners and cyclists before I saw them. Everything has a sort of muffled quality too which was a big weird.
Usually I run for 10mins or so and then take the jacket off and tie round my waist but it was still quite nippy when I finally did take it off for the 3rd and last 17 min run and I was glad to put it back on when I began my cool down.
The run went quite well considering I have been doing so much other stuff and my legs were achey when I woke up. Time was a bit slow but it was still just over 6.5 k , which is nearly halfway in my B210k plan. Hopefully we are having a quiet day tomorrow so I will be a bit fresher for Saturdays run 🤞. But then we said that today and I have been so busy all day. 🥵
