Well guys after a good rest day exercise session and schedule including 4 sets of calf raises done consecutively, those little urchins ache today . Gave them a 3.35 k run out this morning hoping to clear their hangover and get them back on side ,(mmhh) now they,ve gone in to a sulk !! Can,t say I haven,t tried mind you,!l Ive stretched ,rubbed , rolled and massaged and even given them an early night hoping they waken in a better mood come morning - then its pay back time ,as I plan to hit 'em early before their feet have time to land and, Calf raises, 'The Return', begins !l
I,ll brook no resistance !! LoL

I sympathise, I have been in an intense relationship with my pair for the last couple of months
After about 3k mr rightly goes tightly first then his mate joins in
I have tried the calf raises, sponge roller, warm up warm down and rest
I had a deep tissue leg massage where he split the muscles which seemed to help
A banana an hour before also seems to help, apparently the potassium content
BBC food, homemade sports drink after a run, non sugar free squash, water and a pinch of salt seems to help with post stiffness
Try stretching, don’t know what they are called 🙃feet planted pressup against a wall, do half a dozen and move back, to increase the angle at the ankle and repeat,
Hope it improves, I think I am coming out the other side, happy running 🏃🏿♂️
Thank you guys !! Yep, Im coming out the other side too !! Took my two little acher,s out for a 5k jog around our local water park .Sun was up, the sky was blue and we had our best run since our initial effort back in December !! My left calf was absolutely fine whilst, 'righty' ,the bad boy or the 'evil twin', if you will, was about 80/85 % there !! So calf stretches and raises ,started a week back, are now paying off - Will stretch next sundays,'big run' to 55 minutes in order to make further inroads on that 10 k goal in May !! Boy ,I do so love this running game , can,t wait to incorporate different training techniques ie hill runs, interval training etc Lesson learned though,' look after that body, don,t push too hard or too early' !!
