Hi Everyone after finishing the C25K, I have set my goals to 10k and a possible Half M.
Have you got any tips for me? Also what's your arm position?

Big congratulations on C25K 👏👏👏👏😀👍👍👍. Such a brilliant achievement. Enjoy that feeling 😀😀😀You will get lots of great advice and tips from really experienced runners on here which I must admit is absolutely spot on. Finding what works for you is important. The bridge is such a lovely place to be😊. I am still a fledgling. Graduated end of October. Consolidated for 5 or 6 weeks then slowly built up distance. I used the famous Ju-Ju’S plan on here which gives you a great plan for building up duration and distance. I think what I have learnt is to be happy in my running , keep it slow and steady and keep those rest days in. it may take time but that way you build up legs and stamina and reduce risks of injury. It worked for me. Good luck 😉
Hello and congratulations again! I’m only 3 weeks post grad but have been running 3 times a week. I have been mixing it up a bit - tried some new routes, ran a bit further, did some speed work, did a Junior Parkrun with my son and this morning did my first Parkrun. I’d like to try slow running along the coast/lakes...
I have really enjoyed the forum support and would like to extend the distance, so joined the Bridge to 10k. And still hang out here 🙂
Funny you should mention arms as since I have been running longer distances/times, I have found they start to get a bit heavy and tired! I usually keep them bent at about 90*, with the relaxed ‘holding a crisp’ hand position. I try to relax my shoulders and shake out the arms occasionally. Also try to swing them fairly straight rather than across the body... 🙂
