Last night we ran to a homeless shelter warehouse. We helped them sort out their stock and load a van with rubbish for the tip. It was less than a mile from our meeting place so there was an option afterwards to run a 4km route back. Other times we’ll do exercises when we get back like sprint relay or circuits - which entirely optional- and then we can get a coffee and a chat/laugh.
Good Gym ask for a monthly donation of £9 a month, which was less than it would cost to upgrade my Swim membership to include the gym.

Just watched the link Equi-geek, thank you for sharing that, I’ve wondered what it was all about when you have mentioned it on here. I think that is such a lovely thing for you and all of the other volunteers to give up your time to do. 👍
Thanks! It gets me out in rain and wind and dark because it’s not about me... and because we run as a group it isn’t all about pace and times either, so less pressure. For me it was a great ‘next step’ from Parkrun 😁👍
