[TailChaser]

This was my present to myself for doing a sub-30 minute Parkrun (inspired by Flaraflarkin and her beautiful butterfly). It’s taken a while as I did that back in September and I’m now sub 29 minutes (somehow!😱). It was going to be 3 ducks a la Hilda Ogden but I went for something more arty. One off the bucket list, maybe I’ll get another if I go (haha!) sub 28...(‘go faster’ stripes??!)

Nice picture of a duck TailChaser, it's a dream for many of us here on C25K to run a sub 30 minute 5K, my PB time is 32.40, I think IF I had what they call a pacemaker with me and I asked him to run with me at say 29 minute pace on a flat stretch with the temperature around 12C I just might be able to run it, but I think it would take some effort, congratulations to you for your sub 30 or even sub 28 minute 5K run.

Thanks Al. The sub 28 is a bit of a dream. I am lucky to have a very flat local Parkrun so I do have it quite easy. I plateaued for about 3-4 months after I broke 30 minutes and then I started doing longer runs more frequently, so the 5k seemed a bit easier and I think I just relaxed a bit - all of a sudden I took 30 seconds off my PB. You’ll be surprised Al, it happens when you least expect it and those warmer temperatures are just around the corner (although it doesn’t feel like it this week).

Yep 😁 Just on my shoulder blade Dexy, nowhere too daring. I don’t think Katnap will be doing it though, the thought of needles... although I didn’t think it was too bad.

A snail would be cool! You could have a psychedelic shell that hypnotises those behind you to stay there. Then, no matter how fast you go, you’ll always be first!

I don’t know if I’ll get any quicker but I’m very happy I can do what I can 😀 It will come for you I’m sure. It’s all relative anyway, I just like surprising people that don’t expect to be overtaken by a short, middle aged, mum 😁

Brrrrrr!!❄️) Incredible, very well done you ~ pleased I inspired you, it was actually Jay66UK who originally inspired me saying that I was like a butterfly 🦋 (think he meant I was flitty 🤦‍♀️🤣) but I interpreted my own idea of inner butterfly 🦋 as change & transformation ❤️🦋❤️🦆

That’s lovely Flara 💕 I can see exactly where you’re coming from.

I’ve got lots of interpretations for mine, one is quite rude rhyming slang (particularly if I get judged when I’m running along)...but mainly I love the freedom birds have and that is how I feel when I get in the running (or cycling) zone, and, as you know, I especially love ducks 🦆😀
