Really enjoyed the second attempt at 10k - managed to increase the distance slightly to 10.5k and shaved off 3 mins from the first attempt.
I also tried out a new playlist which has far less dance beats in...and so i have learned that the music is not the driver behind my pace, it's the space my head is at at the time.
Feeling great, bring on the weekend for my next run

Brilliant run. The first 10k gave me the confidence to up the pace on my second one too. I agree on the headspace...I love music but never listen to it when running. I just take in the sights and sounds😊
Well done Alison, 3 minutes off is brilliant. I’m kind of thinking about attempting my 2nd 10k tomorrow, as it’s not as bitterly cold as earlier in the week and it seems a long time since I did my first in December, but gale force winds are forecast 😩 Not sure I’ll be any quicker, as my first one was a National Trust 10k with lots of other people and I always seem to go a bit faster than on my own. We’ll see!
