So, I did a short slow easy coneback run, just over a mile in 15 mins. Decided to do 4 x 10 minute runs wth a 1 minute recovery’s between today but failed miserably. Did about 8 minutes then 2, 8 minutes, then 2, then 5 minutes! Feeling a bit flat and wondering where to start from ...

Sorry you didn’t enjoy your run much LY. Maybe you’re not still 100% over your flu. It takes a lot out of you. I even felt the effect when I first ran after taking a few days off with barely a sniffle a while ago. 🤧
How about just taking that run for what is was - after all you did run - and try again in a few days, a super slow one with no plan.
Take care. 😀
Oh that’s so frustrating. I can sympathise as I’m currently laid up wit a chest infection and unable to run for over 3 weeks now. I’ve attempted a couple of workouts at the gym but pretty feebly and no cardio as I just can’t breathe. I’m now on my 2nd dose of steroids and at last some antibiotics so hopefully will be on the road to recovery, but I know I’m going to have to ease my way back in gently.
Be kind to your body and maybe take extra rest days between runs and keep the runs nice and gentle before building back up again. Maybe do some intervals walking/running like in those C25k days.
Good luck. I’m sure you’ll soon be back in the groove.

Sorry you’ve not been well. I’d advise more rest, then go again when you feel better. I had a month off and managed a slow 4km when I got back to it. Don’t push it til you’re really better. Be nice to yourself.
