It was a cold one this morning. . .

The car showed the temperature to be -1 this morning when I got to the car park and it certainly felt like it, very nippy! . . . This is only the second week of my "proper" return to running since my hip flexor strain in early November. Last week was 1 x 3k and 2 x 5k's, that went OK so this week I wanted to started to push my distances up a bit again. This morning I did 6k, not particularly fast but it went OK even if it was a bit cold, the gloves didn't come off until about 4k! Normally on this route early morning if I see one dog walker thats about it but this morning it was busy; three dog walkers and three fellow runners!, they must all like the cold weather :) Stay warm everybody and have a great running weekend :)

Exactly, when you compare it to -30, I guess it was really warm :)

If the temperature in Winnipeg goes to -1C at this time of the year that is considered as a "heatwave". they must be laughing their heads off at us in the UK saying -1C is freezing.

It all sounds good. Coming back from injury is always tricky.

Yes, I've had quite a few false starts too, but fingers crossed all is ok now.

Well done 💪👍😃. Yes, it’s a tad nippier out there. I thought yesterday as I ran through the woods that I’d need to dig out my merino ladies boxers ❄️

I’m glad your run went well orangeguy. We are wondering what it will be like tomorrow at parkrun time. Decision tomorrow when we look out the window I think. 🌊🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️💨💦❄️

Here in the Midlands its forecast to be a few degrees warms but still very cold . . . I always find you warm up after a bit and then you have the trouble of carrying your gloves and hat if you take them off . . .

Well done orangeguy - sounds like a good run despite being a bit chilly! 😀

Yes it went ok actually, its the furthest I've run since the beginning of November when the hip thing started. I just need to gradually get myself back up to 10k again now, maybe even a bit further if all goes ok.
