Razouski motivated me to work my way back up to 10km. I was up and out early this morning. I've done a 3.5km this week, so went out for a 7km run. Along with Park Run on Sat this brings my total to 15.5km for the week. Actually 0.5 of a km less than last week which was 5km, 5km and 6km = 16km. I think the build up is slow enough and will aim for 17km next week, although the flights back to the UK will get in the way.
It will be nice to run in the cool and not get any more mosquito bites! It will also be nice not to have to spend half the day hiding from the sun, but I will miss the warmth🙃

Well done for working your way back up, you're doing great
Well done to you Baddie! Deciding on a plan and sticking to it is almost always an excellent plan. Enjoy your remaining days away. I ran my first 10k on November 19th, then chose to run 2x30minutes and 1x1hour per week. Because of my pace and hills this meant my long runs were about 7km; over Christmas preparation time they were shorter still. Then reading of runners running 10km around Boxing Day really inspired me to have a go at a longer run. I aimed for 10km, but got very lost on unfamiliar paths across fields and completed 11.16 km 😊. Lovely to discover what my legs can do! Happy New Year and happy running to you! 😊🏃🏻🎉
Enjoy playing hide and seek with the sun while you can. You will dig out your gloves coming home. It’s freezing....... if you can bring some warmth back that would be fab 😄. Safe journey back. I am doing same type of plan. It’s working great too like yours. A little surprise run last weekend made me giggle but think that was a fluke so still working on gradual and slow build up.
Ah BTP, you can always find warmth on this site wherever you are and whatever the temperature outside 😊!! Just think of it of as swapping mosquito bites for frost bite........🤧
I can't believe I motivated you to work up to 10k as it was me a few weeks ago feeling totally unmotivated. I think your build up is really sensible, and I need to get myself a plan in place to keep me going.
I love the view of the mountains in your photo. Lucky you, but as you say, running in the cool will be nice too.
I think the hardest part is deciding on a plan. Once you have that sorted it's easier to stay on track. I've also got places I'd like to run, so I have some goals for the summer...
