Folks started the Couch to 5k August 2017 and completed it. Have been running since although with classes in the gym only about once per week on average. Finding it really hard to get beyond 2 mile mark. Any tips?

I've kept up running three times a week after graduating and my distance is still increasing albeit v slowly. No chance of running twice a week?

Thank you. Well done for your increasing distances. Maybe that’s what I need to do - run more often. Here’s to a Happy 2019 year of Running

Thanks. To you too

Well done for keeping up with the exercise and completing the program! Any exercise is good! Have you tried slowing down for your runs? My 10k pace is way slower than my 5k pace, which in turn is slower than my ‘quick’ 1k. I’m not sure which works best, increasing distance or speed first, but I worked on my distance and am only now increasing my speed too, and that’s after 6 months!

Good luck with your running 🏃‍♀️. You will ace it!

Thank you. Heading out for a run in about an hour and going to go slower to see if distance improves. Think I am starting out too fast and then I burn out! Do a lot of cardio and strength in the gym but running only improves running I suppose 🤣.

Thank you... I was way slower, changed my route, ran up two inclines and two hills and/but increased my distance .... yay!😊🙌

Thank you. That was my intention after I completed the Couch25k but haven’t made it yet. Have to definitely do it this year 😊

Yes it’s amazing what being a part of Parkrun can do. Just start near the back and go at a slow steady pace.

Will do.... thank you. Haven’t run in a group before so it will be totally different 😊
