An invitation to take part in a poll on the C25k forum.

As the majority of runners on this forum have previously completed C25k, I wondered if you could help us out by visiting this poll on the forum healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

It is simply asking you to honestly state, by rounding down to the nearest selection, what was the maximum distance in kilometres that you managed to run in Week 9 of C25k.

As an ongoing poll this is going to be useful information to be aware of and offers reassurance to those who did not manage 5k in 30 minutes during the programme. After graduation the realisation that hitting arbitrary distance/time targets is not the be all and end all of running slowly dawns on most of us and I hope you are all remembering to run for fun........some of the time at least.

Keep running, keep smiling.

What an excellent idea! I think a lot of people may get demotivated by not running 5k in 30 minutes, but that is beyond the point - I never thought I;d be able to run for 10 minutes, never mind 30 when I first started C25K... hope this helps people realise that it doesn't matter how far you go, but that you're going!

Unfortunately I don't know how far I ran as at that time I was including the 5 minute warm up and cool down walks in my app, so I have 5.2k recorded but for 40 minutes! Very annoying! A couple of weeks later I was doing 4.2k in 30 minutes but that's not much use is it?! Sorry, I would've loved to have been able to help 😳
