After all the fun of my first canal run, I've since got to the towpath under my own steam (just like you all said I would!) and then trotted a steady 4 miles to collect my car from the pub. I've run through the woods in the dark with a most excellent ASDA head torch, and as there seems to be a corelation between endurance and weight (!), I've even put myself on a diet to make running easier I like this game. It's fun!
I think it's classed as a habit now... - Bridge to 10K

Ace. You're doing great! I did my first run in 2 weeks along the canal yesterday. It felt great!
Fabulous Sykesy, sounds like you’re having a ton of fun! Well done - and yes it is rather habit forming isn’t it? 😀
Ha ha! You're hooked! 😁 Well run, Sykesy! Canal running sounds fab, I miss the canals of London - although I've got the sea, I yearn for a canal or river sometimes! Going to seek one out soon... 🤗
Hats off to you for the head torch running. That is serious commitment! Yes agree, it's great to be by water.I like the river paths around me but I'm a bit fed up; a considerable stretch is now rock'ard tarmac so I dive in to a field for some softer surfaces when it's dry.
I am definitely hooked and having had a stinking roast lamb dinner last night I was chuffed to find Runkeeper telling me I burned 500 calories this morning!
