So I graduated on Saturday with another 31 C25kers on the same run πΈ
I ran with my eldest kitten who is really proud of himself and I am too. π
The same is not a quick runner but he is improving. I'm still running with him to help him maintain the habit of going out regularly.
He managed 5k non stop in 42 minutes and so consolidation is +10% run time each week.
So far we have done 2x 33minute sessions covering just over 4k
Today was supposed to be a rest day but my youngest kitten had a day off school so I asked him if he wanted to join me on a trial interval run...
Talk about chalk and cheese. The Speedy One had me gasping for air only 2.1/2 minutes into the run!
I struggled but take consolation from his news that he did his fastest mile.
I need to build more fitness before I do that again! First step would be an early night but eldest kitten needs collecting from a late night event. π
10 k still looks a long way from here! πΈ

Nice running Katnap! Sounds like youβre getting plenty of βmixing it upβ practise, so no threat of you getting bored!
Keep on consolidating and very gradually build to 10k eventually if you want to. ju-juβs Magic 10 plan is great for that, but thereβs no rush so enjoy running for fun for now! Arenβt we lucky to have running in our lives? ππββοΈππ
Your brood sound enthusiastic, and thatβll keep you motivated! ππ
Sounds like your perfect interval partner π just chase him round a field once a week π youβll end up like superman!
I think what youβve done with your eldest boy is fantastic, even though it may take a bit longer to get where you want to be with running it is 100% worth it π― πππ
Well done, and itβs the best running with our little kittens isnβt it.... mine is 17 now and very fast but is still happy to run with me at mum speed ( ie slow!!!). Enjoy the time with them πΊ
