Love autumn running

Sunday i managed 8.25k (or 5 miles) - it was quite warm at 8am so no jacket...did get caught in some light rain but it was quite refreshing.

Think i have finally mastered the 'slow down' running and was able to maintain a conversation with myself lol...mostly cursing my phone as the music kept cutting out! Oh and also the soggy feet when i thought i had jumped over a puddle only to find the leaves were hiding more!

I completed this in 1 hour...my km splits were mostly aligned which is good and also gives me great hope that i can complete a 10k in around 1.20

A little snap from my lovely weekend run route (can't do this on a weekday unfortunately as it's too dark & this place is pretty isolated, probably saw 2 people the whole way round the lake) It doesn't really do justice to some of the beautiful colors around

A well deserved rest day today...legs are feeling it. Here's hoping i can knock some time off my 5k tomorrow

Just go steady. Slow running builds legs. It’s a delight at the time of year when the woods and parks are so full of autumn colour. It’s a pleasure to be out 😃👍🏃‍♀️

haha yes though it is a wonder considering how many leaves are on the ground!

i'm hoping the wind stays away for as long as possible...it's quite depressing when the leaves are all gone!
