Hi there... First get some consolidation runs in..lots of 30 minute runs and some shorter and longer ones too...new routes too are great ... then maybe try the C25K+ podcasts ..they are challenging but fun, and very useful! Some folk try them too soon after Graduation and miss the point a bit..but they are worth doing.

Then after that maybe think about Ju-ju's Magic 10 :)

Well Piglet, once you graduate you no longer alternate running and walking, you can just run for 30 minutes, so need for a coach to tell you when to run! If you need some entertaining then podcasts are good. Or you could try some of the 30 min runs on the Nike Run Club app (it’s free to download). As Oldfloss says, the key now is consolidation - building a good habit of running for 30 mins three times a week to build up your strength and stamina. I did this after graduation, and also added a minute on to each run in order to finally get to 5k! Happy running. x

Runkeeper has a choice of voices.

Haven't tried Nike Run Club app but that sounds good.

Gym Boss has silly sounds.

But do consolidate.

I graduate this week and have planned to add 10% run time upto 40 minutes max so 33,36, then 40

Hi

I finish week 8 tomorrow, but calculating my speed at the moment, it is going to take me 38 mins to do 5K, so your plan of adding run times in those increments on my consolidation runs after graduation next week would work well for me.

I am just happy ( and in total disbelief ) that I can even run for 30 mins ! But determined to keep up 3x runs per week, and hopefully an increase in speed will gradually come.

Graduated from C25K last month,I've been doing park run for last 8 weeks, feel quite confident over 5K and run the distance, I'm by no means fast, and after 1st 10 minutes my breathing settles, was just looking at trying a programme to try increase distance gradually x
