C25k W1R1 with the OH

At the age of 65 and not having run since I’ve known him (34 years), the OH has decided to give C25k a go and asked me to keep him company for his first outing. Well, 3.7k at a pace of 8.08 (bearing in mind you only ‘gentle jog’ for 8 of the 30 minutes) and I think I am going to have difficulty keeping up 🤦‍♀️ At least he had the good grace to be redder in the face and sweaty at the end!

Thank you. Wish he’d decided to do it when I did in spring, rather than waiting til winter though 🌧🌨💨

That’s true! Mind you, I did have many days during the summer when I wished it wasn’t as hot. Swings and roundabouts eh?

How fantastic that hubby has seen how well you are doing that he wants to do the same. Re you going to do c25k with him and then run off and do your own thing?

Hi Dexy! That’s the general idea. As he gets further into C25k, it’ll probably start to link into my Magic 10. He used to run 5 miles each way to work when he was much younger so I’m fully expecting him to overtake me at some point 😩
