WK9 R1 - not a good start to graduation week!

Went out today, prepared for a rainyb run (which it was) but I didnt mind the rain, although I had thought that I would. Took my usual route which is a little used country lane near to where I live. Unfortunately there are road works nearby and it seems that people are using my run route instead of the road that's closed through the roadworks - how dare they!!! So that meant that I had to keep stopping and waiting for the cars, lorries and tractors to go past, but I tried to keep jogging on the spot so I didnt lose momentum. Got to the halfway mark and thought "this 30 mins run isnt so bad after all.." then got nearish to my normal finish and pulled the phone out to check how much time I had left to run and the app had crashed at half way!! I was not amused. So I carried on running and ran for a while past my usual 28 min stop point. I really hope I've done enough to say W9 R1 complete. Hopefully R2 will be better. Humph!!

Thanks! I hope so! Sooo frustrating!

How very dare they use your leafy lane as a rat run... you'll have to get on to the council KD, that's not on at all! Sounds harder than a regular 30 minute run... so yes you definitely got that one in the bag. Not long now then KD, you'll have to check the local travel report before you run your graduation run - don’t want to be dodging lorries for that one! 😁

P.S. It looks like this post went on the Bridge to 10K forum 👀 - don't go hiding that all important graduation post in here too ...as I might not find it! xxx

Thanks TS! Yes, how dare they indeed!! Oh, I didn't realise that about the Bridge to 10k forum, I joined it the other day, just out of interest. Will make sure my graduation post goes to the right place! x

No question about it. It definitely counts! Put it behind and you and look forward to your next run followed by your triumphant graduation run. If your ap hasn’t recorded run 1 then in my opinion nothing wrong in playing it through so it does record it. Just the ap catching up with reality.

Hi Beachomber, thanks very much :0) Yes I did log it on the app afterwards. It will be interesting to see how I get on with R2 - the running actually felt OK so it was mega annoying that the app crashed!
