Been doing it all day. Every time I open it, update or try to navigate pages, it quits. Anyone else? iOS users? Never happened before. I’m beta testing updates to iOS 12 but the last update was a couple of days ago, and this has only started happening today.
Garmin Connect keeps crashing: Been doing it... - Bridge to 10K
Garmin Connect keeps crashing
Same for me, Flick. Sigh. Just started today. (I am an iOS user too). x
So annoying. I wonder if android users are having the same. iPhone Bluetooth doesn’t play well with Garmin anyway. I could leave my android phone at the bottom of the house and go two floors up and it would still alert me to notifications, but I can’t leave the room with my iPhone. The watch starts bleating and buzzing. I have to turn off Bluetooth at night or I’m kept awake with its constant buzzing as it loses connection and reconnects.
Yep - I’m iOS and mine keeps quitting too.....
I really hope it sorts itself out soon.
I’m on iOS- same problem
Annoying! I dont want to have to synch via the computer.
It's fine for me on the computer - via Edge on Windows 10.
I'm on a Mac, but I suspect it will be fine via computer for me too. but it's a tedious hassle to do it that way. i want to be able to check on the fly, like after race when I can't get to the computer.
I sync via Android and view the activities via the website - all good. I have Connect on my iPad and it seems ok for viewing stuff, but I never sync via IOS.
Edited to add - disabling Apple Health seems to help: forums.garmin.com/forum/int...
I can't even view stuff on my phone, it still crashes going from page to page. The iOS app is flakey at the best of times, but this is ridiculous.
I had problems with mine yesterday. When I went to save my walk on watch it went into screen that said Garmin and I noticed my steps had gone to 0. Got home and tried to connect to my iPhone and had same issues with app. It kept going back to my phone’s home screen after about 20 seconds. No sleep had been recorded either I noticed! At first I thought it was my phone as the battery had dropped really quickly while I was out. Anyway I read on line that disabling it from the Apple health app seemed to fix it which I tried and so far it hasn’t crashed. (Really must get out for a run!! It’s been a week!! Had tooth problems again!!😆) Hope you get yours sorted!! 😀
Sara, thank you!!! I didn't even know it WAS connected to the apple health app. I don't remember connecting it because I never use it, but it may have done it automatically. anyway, have disabled it in the heath app and it seems to be working so far!
Sadie-runs Outofpuff Dexy5 please see Sarakc 's reply above. I've disabled Garmin Connect in the Apple health app (which i never use and don't remember connecting to!!!) and so far it seems to have solved the problem - though why it should have started acting up after all this time I've no idea.
If it weren’t for you Flick I would NEVER have worked that out as being the problem!! How strange. Anyway, mine is working again now. Slightly worrying that you hadn’t consented to Apple health app enabling Connect and recording data? Anyway - thank you to you and Sarakc .
Well huge thanks to Sara - I would never have thought to look at the Apple health app.
Regarding the Apple app, there is a slim chance I did it myself fiddling and exploring when I first got the phone, though in my experience you have to turn things off manually if you don’t want them.
Glad it’s done the trick! I never look at the Apple health app much. I thought it was to do with clocks going back at first! 😀
It’s weird it started around then. Anyway, thanks to you we can all stop tearing our hair out and hurling our phones at the wall 😊❤️
