Physio Gold Star

Finished up my course of physio treatment and signed off with a gold star yesterday. As far as my hysio superstar concerned I'm not only now fixed but probably in better shape than I was even before the "niggle nightmare" started. So that's good.

I'm still putting in three sessions a week, haven't quite nailed Stepping Stone yet (way back from where I was a month ago), but I will. Ready to start to push my "long run" up beyond the 5K mark now. Stepping Stone will keep my happy for the other two sessions. I still hate Podrunner, but nothing's perfect....

Gently does it.

Fantastic news sallenson and I'm sure you'll soon be getting your longer runs to 5k and beyond.

I hated Stepping Stones (and still do) as I found it really hard to stick to the prescribed pace, but I'm sure it will do you good.

Take it easy. :-)

Did a stupidly slow 5.5K this morning. But everything felt good. No niggles. I have slow and steady tattooed to my leg... :-)

I, on the contrary, have done nothing today 😳

Frankly I'd marry mine. He's been fantastic. And we get to talk about cars and dentists too :-)

That's great news sallenson and good luck with increasing the pace.

Those physios really are magic aren't they? As long as you follow the recommendations that is😁

He's been great. He did say that the number of people to get the end end of a course of treatment properly is pretty small. Most of them don't do the work in-between times he reckons. I was reasonably disciplined, tho not a zealot. But it's paid off and I know what to do to keep the legs working properly now :-)

That’s great news! πŸ˜€

Gently does it is exactly right. Rushing back to where you were upto before is on the β€œhow to get injured” list! πŸ˜ƒ

Congratulations πŸ‘. Back to stepping stones! Better than medicine they are. Lovely music too 😁

It will make yearn for Led. Something to work towards methinks.

I did take The Lads out this morning. They were on good form. Better than mine, but I did have fun :-)

I got three of their tracks crop up in succession today, which has never happened before! Lovely though and I had a blast, you know to clean out the old cylinders as it were. I always envisage Robert Plant at the mike when I hear this stuff. Ah happy days. Sigh

Took Black Sabbath and the Who out with me too. Go me!

I hope you're feeling strong and ready to get back into it. Carefully though o'course

Lovely to read that you’re back on track. You’ve motivated me to check out stepping stones again. πŸ‘

First time I did in (I think) June it seemed pretty easy. In the interim with not so much running it feels a bit harder. (The Human Pretzel Walking thing at the beginning is still dumb tho.) I'm getting through it, but a couple of walk breaks. So "nailing" that one for one of my short runs is a fixture for the next couple of weeks.

Brilliant news, Stephen! πŸ˜ƒπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈβ€οΈ We obviously all need an β€œAndrew the Physio” to improve us! πŸ˜‚

Great that you can get back to building your distance up again now. I’m going through β€œPodrunner endurance training” at the moment to see how long I can keep listening to it! 😳 Keep trying to do 5ks with gradually increasing bpm steprates... (Reaching insanity before the optimum 180 steps per minute is currently looking fairly likely! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚)
