Back on target for the Great South Run...🏃🏽‍♀️🙂

...with a 13k run on the trails this morning! I took things nice and steady, as I haven't done an 8 miler since earlier in the summer (me and summer running do not get on! 😩 ) but now that things are starting to cool down, I am feeling the need to go further and loving it too! Funny how different we are as runners - I know some folk on here dread the cold and winter but I really do seem to feel more alive from about here on in! Happy running this week, everyone!😀

Sounds fantastic. I like that it's cooler too - I hated the pressure to get up really, really early before it got too warm! I'll be moaning about the cold soon enough though

I hear you Sandra, I love the autumn and winter for running, I've found this summer really hard going. (Though I may retract that statement if we get another Beast this year!)

We live in Southsea sandraj39 and try to get out every year to cheer on everybody on the GSR. We will wish for a light easterly breeze on the day to gently blow you to the finishing line. 🏃‍♀️💨

13k, brilliant! Autumn is my favourite - cooler weather and rain on my face lovely 😀, although not so keen on the gales and horizontal rain that we sometimes get up here! 😬
