Whilst running here in Mablethorpe I’d thought I’d do 3 x 7K runs on alternate days. It was a way of consolidating runs on way to 10K. All done, so far all good for two runs. Third run today was exhausting with gremlins whispering in my ear ‘just give up’. Normally I can dismiss them but these Northern gremlins had a tight hold. I persevered and just scrapped 7K in set time. Returning South later this morning and will resume the 10K plan. In a funny way the three runs seemed to have drawn a line between previous distances on the plan and now I am very close to the 10K finishing line - onwards and upwards 🏃♀️

Hi! I think you responded to message I posted back at Easter when I got lost in the fog & ended up between Trusthorpe and Sutton? The beaches are certainly cracking up in Mablethorpe and the coast up there in general. Maybe I’ll time my next visit for a local running event. My targets are a couple of 10Ks before winter and then 10 mile training from 1st Jan, then on to a HM in June - hopefully! Realised on train from Grantham that I’ve run the equivalent of a HM over 5 days so that’s made me glad that I persevered today 👍🏃♀️
Agreed, many happy family memories of the East Coast. A few weeks ago I was in Spain. A young local (Spanish) lady asked me where in England we came from. I said the Midlands. We are no where near any beaches alas. She immediately said she had visited England and found the East Coast beaches to be very beautiful! Given the many lovely beaches in Spain , that says it all! 😎
